This high-end television commercial for Samsung’s Neo QLED 8K range was filmed on location in Queenstown, New Zealand, combining cinematic ground-based photography with high-speed aerial and FPV drone cinematography.
Ben Ruffell served as Director of Photography, responsible for visual design, camera movement and integration of slow-motion and aerial sequences. The production utilised ARRI Alexa Mini LF and Phantom Flex 4K cameras to capture both cinematic landscapes and high-speed action sequences with extreme image clarity.
Drone operations were supervised by Overview.nz, with coordinated aerial and FPV platforms used to create dynamic motion shots designed specifically for large-format 8K display environments.
